DIA Community Forum
The Decatur Island Alliance OPALCO Committee would like to invite all islanders to participate in a community forum to review issues with the San Juan County resolution authorizing a multi-lease of the Public Works Yard on Decatur Island to OPALCO. The Committee will present a report on the issue.
We understand that this is short notice, however San Juan County is voting on this resolution next week and we want to ensure that we are capturing as much Decatur Island feedback as possible.
Because DIA is in its formative stages as an organization, we have not yet built the needed foundation to support an all-island vote and therefore we will not be taking an official position, however we want to represent the concerns around the resolution to the County Council. To have your voice heard, we would love to have you attend, either in person or remotely.
Please join us at the school on Saturday at 2:00. We will also be enabling a Zoom session. Please see the joining information below.

DIA Gathering
A few of us have started working on something we are calling the Decatur Island Alliance, and we'd love for you to be part of it. We're gathering on Saturday, April 19 to share our vision, hear your thoughts, and enjoy some island time together.
What's this all about? We believe that by working together, we can make island life even better for everyone who calls Decatur home, visits our shores, or works here. Our simple goal is to create stronger connections between all of us and the organizations that provide essential services to our island.
